UAB junior offensive lineman John Hix was carted off the field late in the fourth quarter against Rice after suffering a leg injury. Hix appeared to get tangled up with one of the Rice players and had his right leg bent the wrong direction.
The leg injury was so bad that FOX Sports 1 reportedly declined to show a replay.

We feel terribly for Hix and hope he will be able to recover in time for his senior season.
