UConn football coach posts funny response to Big East rumors
The future of the UConn football program was thrown into question Saturday amid widespread reporting that the school’s athletic programs would be returning to the Big East in the near future. While that’s excellent for most of their squads, particularly the basketball team, it poses a big issue for the football program.
The Big East does not participate in football, and the AAC is unlikely to retain UConn as a football-only member, meaning the program could be forced to go independent. Don’t ask head coach Randy Edsall about that, though — as he tweeted on Saturday, he doesn’t really know what’s going on either.

Maybe Edsall is still coming to terms with the potential end of the Civil Conflict. It’s truly a tremendous loss for all of us.
