Washington kept QB Jake Browning from the media over taunt?

Jake Browning Washington

Washington has a big Pac-12 game coming up on Saturday against Oregon, a game they’ve dominated in recent years. The Huskies won 38-3 against the Ducks last year. The year before, they scored 70 points in a blowout win that also included an infamous taunt.

Huskies quarterback Jake Browning scored on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter of the game and taunted an Oregon defender on his way to the end zone.

That moment is one the Huskies would like to bury.

The Seattle Times’ Adam Jude reported this week that Browning was not made available to speak with the media ahead of his return to Autzen Stadium. Jude thought that it was so Browning could avoid having to answer questions about “the point.”

Washington could very well be keeping Browning from talking with the media ahead of the game to prevent him from answering the obvious questions. He’ll have a chance to do his talking on the field.
