Harvey Updyke told by Alabama to leave SEC softball tournament
Harvey Updyke just cannot stay away from Alabama athletics. The die-hard Crimson Tide fan who allegedly poisoned trees on Auburn’s campus was asked by Alabama officials to leave the SEC softball tournament on Friday.
Here is Alabama’s statement on the matter via Andrew Gribble:
“Mr. Harvey Updyke was asked by University of Alabama officials to leave today’s softball game and he complied. Several months ago, the University issued a formal directive to Mr. Updyke stating that he is not to come to the University of Alabama campus. Mr. Updyke has no affiliation with the University of Alabama and does not represent the institution in any way. The University of Alabama will have no further statement on this matter.”
Alabama is the No. 1 seed in the tournament which is taking place at their home field — Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa. You may recall that Updyke previously rejected a plea deal that would have kept him from attending Alabama athletic events. You take that away from Harv, you take away his life.
