Livvy Dunne complained via social media recently about a privacy issue she says she is encountering.
Dunne, who is a former LSU gymnast and has a massive social media presence with over 12 million followers across all platforms, discussed her issue in a video she posted on TikTok Friday. In the video, Dunne said that she was being stalked by autograph seekers at aiports.
“I fear that I’m being stalked, and I don’t know what to do,” Dunne said in the video. “It’s got to the point every single time I go to the airport, there’s a group of at least 10 middle-aged men waiting for me, and they harass me. It’s these men that want my autograph. They have like a stack of 40 pictures of me, or my magazines, and they will run after me down the TSA precheck line and yell at me if I don’t give them my autograph.”
Dunne claimed in the video that she had been circled by some men seeking autographs while she was standing at baggage claim.
“It needs to stop because it’s scary for girls. It’s weird,” she said.
Some say that this is a consequence of Dunne sharing many aspects of her life freely via social media. Others are more understanding of the problem and recognize it’s an invasion of her privacy.
The autograph-seekers she is describing likely are doing it for profit and not for personal collection reasons. This is part of a business for these people, who then turn around and sell the merchandise. And if they make a scene while doing it, that probably makes it tougher for Dunne to turn them down.
Do you feel badly for Dunne or feel like this is just the price of fame? She definitely rivals her boyfriend Paul Skenes in the fame category.
