Anthony Dixon, Bryce Brown fantasy – CJ Spiller, Fred Jackson both injured
The Buffalo Bills were left scrambling for options in their backfield on Sunday after Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller were both carted off with what appeared to be serious injuries. Jackson looked like he injured his groin while early speculation has indicated that Spiller suffered a broken collarbone.
The Bills had been using Spiller and Jackson in a two-man committee. The next two backs on their depth chart are Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown. Dixon had carried the ball 14 times for 86 yards this season heading into Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Brown, who recently said he was surprised with his lack of usage, had been a healthy scratch for the first six games of the season.
While both Dixon and Brown will be used going forward, it’s obvious the Bills like Dixon more. There’s a reason he has gotten the ball this year and Brown hasn’t. Don’t expect either to be a fantasy stud.
