Alabama players shocked Deshaun Watson not first quarterback taken

Deshaun Watson was the third quarterback taken in Thursday’s NFL Draft and that was surprising to a few Alabama players.
Watson played in two consecutive national championship games, leading Clemson to a victory and second national title in the most recent one earlier this year. In both games, the Tigers faced off against the Crimson Tide. On Thursday, three Alabama players – Alphonse Taylor, Damien Harris, and Mack Wilson – were shocked Watson was not the first quarterback to hear his name called.
Clearly production and winning means nothing in the draft! How the hell Watson didn't go before these other QBs I'm just curious

The fact that 2 QBs have been drafted over Deshaun Watson is absolutely unreal..

Truth be told Deshaun Watson deserved to be the 1st QB picked.

Watson watched the Bears trade up to get Mitchell Trubisky and the Chiefs move up to select Patrick Mahomes prior to hearing his own name called by commissioner Roger Goodell to the Texans. Leading up to the draft, Watson warned teams about choosing another quarterback over him. The process of making those who passed on Watson regret it begins now for the 21-year-old.
