Antrel Rolle showed up at Giants training camp with a unique hairstyle. The Giants safety’s sides are shaved and have highlight-colored designs on them, and they actually glow in the dark.
“No story behind [the haircut],” Rolle told reporters. “I just told my barber to give me something different, and this time we wanted to go with something that glows in the dark, so this is what you got.”
Rolle says the hair doesn’t impact his play on the field, but it is part of his superstition.
“I’m a little superstitious with some things and this is one of them,” he said.
Rolle pointed out that the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl when he also had a haircut that was flashy.
“A lot of the bald guys wish they could do it, but their time has passed,” he joked.
