Baker Mayfield wrist injury only a bruise, not considered serious
Baker Mayfield had a rough day on Sunday that ended with him leaving the stadium with a wrap on his throwing hand, but it does not sound like the Cleveland Browns quarterback is in danger of missing any time.
Mayfield underwent an X-ray on his right hand following the game and it was determined that he only suffered a bruise, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. The injury is not considered serious.

Mayfield took a big hit from Tennessee Titans defensive end Cameron Wake on a play that resulted in a safety. He never left the game, but he was not sharp from there on out. He ended up completing 25-of-38 passes for 285 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Cleveland’s 43-13 loss.
After an offseason loaded with hype, the Browns completely laid an egg on Sunday. Mayfield’s performance was a big reason for that, and he will look to bounce back against the New York Jets in Week 2.
