Gatorade knew the perfect way to capitalize on one Chicago Bears player’s embarrassing moment.
Bears running back Kyle Monangai went viral last week for a hilarious blooper of his that was caught on camera. In the clip, Monangai sat next to wide receiver Luther Burden on the sidelines of the Bears’ Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill.
Monangai was so locked into the game that he accidentally squirted his squeeze bottle the wrong way, spraying water onto the field rather than into his mouth (video here). Burden couldn’t hold back his laughter and wanted so badly to clown his teammate in the middle of a do-or-die playoff game.
On Friday, Gatorade teamed up with Burden so that the wideout could finally get his jokes in. Burden walked into the Bears’ locker room to deliver a gift for Monangai courtesy of the sports drink brand.

“Gatorade said to get it right,” Burden told Monangai as he handed him a paper bag.
The present was a custom Bears squeeze bottle with an inscription on the cap that read, “This side up.”
The moment was only made possible by the Bears pulling off a miraculous comeback against the Packers. Chicago trailed 21-3 at halftime, but outscored Green Bay 28-6 in the second half to advance to the Divisional Round. Had the Bears lost, neither player would have been in a mood for such a prank.
Monangai had 27 rushing yards on 8 carries in the comeback win, while Burden caught 3 passes for 42 yards.
