James Harrison may not be capable of making an impact on the field the way he once could, but there are more than a few people who believe the New England Patriots signed him as much for intel as they did for linebacker depth. Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t sound overly concerned about that.
On Wednesday, Roethlisberger was asked what type of information Harrison could potentially share with his new team about the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Roethlisberger on Harrison sharing info with NE: "That's on James. If they want to ask him every single piece of information that he has then, that's this league, I guess other people do that, too.I'm not worried about that. We don't play them this week/next week @TheAthleticPIT

"My wife and I were talking about it last night and she asked if he knew much of our no huddle stuff and I said I don't think he knows a lot of it. He's heard some of the same things for a lot of years now so maybe some of it but that's a long way off."

The Steelers had to have known there was a risk of Harrison signing with the Patriots when they waived the 39-year-old, so they obviously weren’t too worried about it. As Roethlisberger alluded to, it won’t matter what information Harrison does or doesn’t share with his new team if New England and Pittsburgh don’t both advance to the AFC Championship Game.
Harrison spent 14 years with the Steelers, and Roethlisberger hinted on Tuesday that he was not pleased about the veteran being released. We also saw how fans reacted when Harrison signed with the Patriots, so it would not be a surprise if Harrison is motivated by revenge.
