Bennie Fowler returns ball from last completion to Peyton Manning
Regardless of whether or not Peyton Manning decides to retire, he has one heck of a souvenir from the Super Bowl.
Manning’s last completion from the Denver Broncos’ 24-10 Super Bowl victory over the Carolina Panthers was a pass on a 2-point conversion to Bennie Fowler. Fowler had kept the ball, but he revealed on Twitter Tuesday that he returned it to Manning at the quarterback’s request:
Could it be his last completion? I don't know but I gave the ball back to him because he deserves it #Respect pic.twitter.com/GiQhnxuu8G

P money asked for the ball I had no choice but to say Yes

Fowler could have easily kept the ball, but it was pretty nice that he gave it to Manning. At least he didn’t come away empty handed; Manning signed him a nice, personalized jersey:

Manning finished 13-of-23 for 141 yards and an interception, although he came away with the most important stat of all: the W. Fowler did not register any official receptions in the game, but he did catch that 2-point conversion, and people will always remember that.
