After digesting the slate, these are the five best “Monday Night Football” games for 2020.

1) Chiefs vs. Ravens – Week 3

How can you ask for more than this? The Chiefs and Ravens were two of the best teams in the league in the 2019 season, with Kansas City winning the Super Bowl. Baltimore won a Week 3 matchup with Kansas City last season, but there was no playoff rematch after the Ravens lost to Tennessee. Between Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, these teams can put up points with the best of them. This should be a fun, high-scoring affair.

2) Bucs vs. Rams – Week 11

How can you not be excited to see Tom Brady playing on Monday night as a member of the Bucs? Tampa Bay has added Rob Gronkowski to an offense that includes Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. They should be able to score some points. The Rams faltered somewhat last season, slipping to 9-7 after a Super Bowl appearance the season before. Are they headed for a bounceback year? Potentially. Regardless, lots of points should be scored in this game, which will make it fun.

3) Bears vs. Vikings – Week 10

Will Mitchell Trubisky or Nick Foles be starting at quarterback for the Bears when this Week 10 divisional game comes around? We will find out, but either way, this should be a close game. The Green Bay Packers won the NFC North last season while the Lions brought up the rear. Minnesota was a playoff team and Chicago was 8-8. The Vikings can be counted on for a good defense, and the Bears should have a good one too. This should be a very close game with playoff implications.

4) Eagles vs. Seahawks – Week 12

This will be a rematch of a game from 2019 that disappointed. We’re hoping this version is much more entertaining. Seattle went to Philly in Week 12 last season and won a boring game 17-9. Neither offense or quarterback did much in the game, so we’re expecting much more in the upcoming season. Philly added Jalen Reagor and hopes to have DeSean Jackson healthy, which could make their offense more potent. The Seahawks are the Seahawks and bring a good defense every year. Plus they have Russell Wilson, who makes any game winnable.

5) Saints vs. Chargers – Week 5

Regardless of whether the Chargers are playing Justin Herbert or Tyrod Taylor at quarterback by Week 5, this should be a good game. Drew Brees tends to bring out his best when playing on Monday night at home. The Saints have two Monday Night Football appearances on the season — the first is at the Raiders in Las Vegas, and the second one will be in Week 5. He might not be gunning for another milestone, but Brees playing in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday night is always entertaining theater.
