Bill Belichick burns Dominic Raiola
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick had the perfect response when asked about Dominic Raiola’s cheap shot.
As you may have seen, Raiola dove at the knees of Patriots defensive lineman Zach Moore on Sunday when the Detroit Lions took a knee to end the game. Raiola later offered no apologies, saying he tried to “cut” Moore because the Patriots had run up the score by scoring a touchdown with two minutes left in the game.
Take it away, Bill.
"Sure there was a lot of frustration there with Raiola. He's never beaten us. Tough day for him." – Belichick with subtle tweak of Lions C

Raiola is 0-4 in his career against the Patriots, and his explanation for trying to take out a guy’s knee was pathetic. It should be noted that the Patriots lined up for a field goal with roughly two minutes remaining and only punched it into the end zone after a Detroit penalty gave them a first down. That penalty happened to be a Lions player bowling over the Patriots snapper, which is both illegal and dirty.
In any event, advantage Belichick.
