Bill Belichick roasts Rob Gronkowski with awesome joke

Tom Brady was not the only former New England Patriots player who was roasted on Sunday night.

Bill Belichick was one of several people who took part in the roast of Brady, which was broadcast live on Netflix. The 72-year-old coach showed a side of himself most people have never seen. His jokes about Brady were fantastic, but the shot Belichick took at Rob Gronkowski was also a highlight of the evening.

“Gronk, I’ve been watching you on FOX NFL Sunday and I’m begging you, please, stop doing your job,” Belichick deadpanned. “Do another job. Do somebody’s else’s job.”

Those who followed the Patriots during the Belichick/Brady era know that the team’s biggest mantra became “Do Your Job.” That was Belichick’s way of telling his players to focus on their own responsibilities, which would — and did — result in team success. That approach helped the Patriots win six Super Bowl with Brady and Belichick.

Belichick was also on the receiving end of some jokes. Former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman took a savage shot at his former coach, and Belichick took it as well as he could have.
