Bill Belichick when asked if Tom Brady could lose his job: ‘Jesus Christ’
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick kicked off his first press conference of training camp earlier this week by informing the media that Tom Brady will be the team’s starting quarterback as soon as he returns from his four-game suspension. Apparently he wasn’t clear enough for one reporter.
On Friday morning, Belichick was once again asked if there is any scenario in which Jimmy Garoppolo could steak Brady’s job. His response was vintage Hoodie:
To answer everyone's question, no, it wasn't me. pic.twitter.com/KEG6rVtA9R

Everyone likes to compare the situation to when Brady took Drew Bledsoe’s job and never looked back. But Belichick and Bledsoe hadn’t won four Super Bowls together. Even if Garoppolo goes 4-0, there’s no chance Brady is riding the bench.
If you remember, that is almost the exact same reaction Belichick gave two years ago when asked if he is evaluating his quarterback situation (video here). The Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl that season.
