Bills ask fans to help them shovel snow at stadium ahead of playoff game
The Buffalo Bills are going all-out to ensure Highmark Stadium is ready for Sunday’s playoff game, even with heavy snow in the forecast.
The Bills are asking interested fans to register to help shovel snow at the stadium Saturday night ahead of Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh. The team is willing to pay $20 per hour to volunteers who are willing to help clear the stadium.
As of Friday, Buffalo was under a winter storm warning from Saturday until Monday, with snow accumulations of 1-3 feet in areas that fall under a lake effect band. That may or may not include Highmark Stadium, but the team is taking all precautions in case it does.
The forecast is bad enough that there were some now-debunked rumors suggesting that the game might have to be moved. That obviously will not be the case, even if it takes an army of shovel-wielding Bills fans to make the field playable.
