City of Boston uses confetti cannons purchased for Patriots Super Bowl parade for its 4th of July celebration

We have just received word that 4th of July celebrations can actually be painful. Not painful as in stray fireworks accidentally fired into a crowd painful, but emotionally painful. Like many other cities across our great nation, Boston is holding a celebration of America’s 236th birthday on Wednesday. They are also doing so at a discounted price, as they had the luxury of being able to use the confetti cannons that were purchased for the Patriots Super Bowl parade that never was.

Ouch. RT @CurtNickisch For 4th of July celebrations, Boston is using confetti cannons bought for planned #Patriots #SuperBowl parade.

Now that stings. Fortunately for the city of Boston, the Patriots colors are red, white and blue. It works out perfectly, but I’m sure the people of New England would have preferred that they just throw those bad boys away and start fresh. I know I certainly would have, but money is money. When you don’t win, you get recycled. Life’s tough like that sometimes.
