Amon-Ra St. Brown’s massive new contract with the Detroit Lions is certainly good news for Brandon Aiyuk in his own contractual standoff with the San Francisco 49ers. Aiyuk seems well aware of it, too.

Aiyuk took to his Instagram story after the news of St. Brown’s market-setting contract came through on Wednesday. Aiyuk certainly seemed to be reacting to the news, as he was dancing to music and ended the video by grinning and whooping into the camera.

Aiyuk is slated to make $14 million next year under the final season of his rookie deal. He has made clear that he is looking for a significant raise, and has pulled many of the typical moves that players make when signaling their dissatisfaction with the team they play for.

St. Brown will get $77 million guaranteed and an average of $30 million per year from the Lions. Aiyuk will likely be asking for something similar from the 49ers now that St. Brown’s deal has reset the market.
