Brandon Marshall has vowed to make a difference in the Denver area by working with community programs.
On Wednesday, the Broncos linebacker posted a photo with Denver Police Chief Robert White, whom he had a meeting with, to his Instagram account. Along with the picture is a lengthy caption. In it, Marshall describes a plan to “Stand Up for change.” He also pledged to donate $300 per tackle he makes this seasons to various local charities.

Marshall made headlines last Thursday when he knelt during the national anthem prior to the game against the Panthers to, as he said, take a stand against social injustice. The result was the loss of not one, but two endorsements.
A good thing for Marshall is it sounds like the conversations he had with Police Chief White and those he respects were productive. Now, there will be several programs and charities around Denver that will benefit from Marshall’s reflection and decision to actively participate in making a difference.
