Browns CB EJ Gaines out Week 7 with mysterious concussion symptoms
The Cleveland Browns will be without one of their top cornerbacks for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as EJ Gaines suddenly developed concussion-like symptoms this week.
Hue Jackson told reporters on Thursday that Gaines will not play in Week 7 because of concussion symptoms. The Browns coach does not, however, have any clue where the symptoms stemmed from.
Hue Jackson insists EJ Gaines concussion symptoms were not the result of a hit or incident at practice. But he doesn't know where they came from.

That’s certainly unusual, but it’s possible Gaines suffered a concussion during a play last weekend and didn’t experience any symptoms until days later. He recorded two tackles in Cleveland’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Browns gave up 38 points last week after an impressive showing against the Baltimore Ravens the week before, so they’ll need to find a way to replace Gaines when they travel to Tampa.
