Report: Browns not ‘enamored’ with quarterback draft class
The Cleveland Browns need a quarterback, and they have two picks in the top four to draft one. So, naturally, this would be the year that they’re not falling in love with any of the top names on the board.
That’s according to Draft Analyst writer Tony Pauline, who reports that he learned at the Senior Bowl that the Browns “are not presently enamored” with any of the top quarterbacks on the board. That would presumably include the quartet of Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, and Josh Allen.
Still, there’s very little dispute that the Browns will use either the No. 1 or No. 4 pick on a quarterback. It may be that one of these two names winds up playing for Cleveland next season, though perhaps not with the organizational enthusiasm one would want when drafting a franchise quarterback.
