The Dallas Cowboys have reached out to Deion Sanders about their head coach vacancy, and it appears star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb feels the same way about the news that many fans do.
On Monday, the Cowboys announced that they had mutually agreed to part ways with former head coach Mike McCarthy after the two sides had no success working toward a new contract. Shortly after that news surfaced, Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reported that the Cowboys had spoken with Sanders about the job.
The NFL on FOX shared Schultz’s report on Instagram, and the post got one very notable “like.” It was from Lamb.

That is probably a good indication that Lamb would be in favor of the Cowboys hiring Sanders. A lot of fans want to see it happen as well. Sanders remains a beloved figure in Dallas who won a Super Bowl with the Cowboys in the 1990s.
Sanders has confirmed that he spoke with Jones and called it “delightful” that the Cowboys owner reached out. The 57-year-old coach also reiterated that he is happy at Colorado, though he did not exactly extinguish the Cowboys rumors.
