The Los Angeles Chargers have made their decision on a new general manager, and their choice will go from working with one Harbaugh to another.
The Chargers are planning to hire Baltimore Ravens Director of Player Personnel Joe Horitz as their new GM, replacing Tom Telesco, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Horitz will be tasked with working alongside new coach Jim Harbaugh, who was already hired.

Horitz has spent his entire career working for the Ravens, having started in 1998. He has been in charge of pro personnel since 2019, having led the team’s college scouting before that.
This obviously means Horitz has worked with Ravens coach John Harbaugh and will now be working with Jim. There had been concerns about Jim’s relationship with whoever the Chargers ultimate did hire, so one would imagine the coach signed off on this, or was at least aware of the possibility before taking the job.
Harbaugh has made his goal in moving to the NFL very clear. Horitz has a big job ahead of him to help make it a reality.
