Watch: Clay Matthews hit in face by line drive during charity softball game
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews suffered a rather scary shot to the face during a charity softball game on Saturday.
Matthews was pitching during the annual Green & Gold Charity Softball Game when he got hit by the liner. He immediately walked off the field, glove covering his face.

Hopefully it’s nothing serious, or at least nothing that won’t have a quick recovery time attached to it.
We’ve seen close calls at softball games before. It would be a pretty dumb way for the Packers season to get started if their star linebacker is knocked out of action in the team softball game.
