Cole Beasley defends himself after ‘liking’ Instagram rant against Jerry Jones

Dallas Cowboys fans have once again been left disappointed after their team came up short in the postseason, and many of them are blaming the team’s shortcomings in recent years on Jerry Jones. Despite what his social media activity may have indicated, Cole Beasley insists he is not one of them.
On Tuesday, Beasley’s Instagram handle showed up as one of around 1,000 that “liked” a lengthy post on a Cowboys fan page ripping Jones for caring more about money than winning championships.

Apparently that was an accident, or so Beasley says. After noticing that his “like” had gone viral, the wide receiver took to Twitter to explain that he had no idea he had liked the post.
This was an accidental like. I didn’t even know I liked it til y’all got on here and started talking about it.

We’ll never know if Beasley was telling the truth, but he certainly would not be the first pro athlete to engage in petty Instagram activity. It’s tough to pinpoint one reason why the Cowboys have had plenty of quality seasons but can’t seem to get over the postseason hump, though there’s no denying the team remains as popular as ever.
