Cooper DeJean was having himself a great time at the Philadelphia Eagles’ championship parade on Friday.
DeJean delivered one of the biggest plays of the game when he intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter of Super Bowl LIX on Sunday and returned the ball 38 yards for a pick-six to put Philly up 17-0 over the Kansas City Chiefs. That was DeJean’s first career NFL interception, and it couldn’t have been a bigger one.
DeJean’s pick-six on the biggest sports stage helped his popularity explode in Philadelphia. It also made him a popular figure among the women in the city.

DeJean said in an interview with NBC 10 in Philadelphia that lots of fans at the championship parade were asking him to be their Valentine.
“I’ve seen a lot of people ask me to be their Valentine,” DeJean said. “I’m just having a blast.”
DeJean also remarked on the spectacle in the city. He said the wildness at the parade exceeded his expectations.
“I knew it was going to be crazy. Not this crazy though,” DeJean said.
Friday, of course, was also Valentine’s Day, which helps explain the timing of the questions DeJean was receiving.
DeJean’s play is one that will stick with Eagles fans forever.
The former Iowa cornerback admitted that he watches the clip every time it comes up on his phone.
If you made a play like that, wouldn’t you do the same?
Cooper DeJean finished his rookie season with 51 tackles and six passes defended. Plus he has the pick-six of Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl that fans won’t forget.
