Report: Cowboys still concerned about Dez Bryant’s off-field issues
Dez Bryant is one of the best wide receivers in football, yet his contract is set to expire in just a few short months. Many are wondering what the Dallas Cowboys are waiting for in terms of extending Bryant’s contract.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Cowboys still have concerns about Bryant’s off-field behavior.
As for Dez Bryant, #Cowboys are worried about him off-the-field. Per DeSoto City PD, police have been to his house 6 times in 4 years.

Rapoport adds that the Cowboys’ best offer to Bryant has been 10 years and $114 million, with just $20 million guaranteed. Calvin Johnson signed a seven-year, $142 million extension with the Detroit Lions in 2012 that included $60 million guaranteed. Bryant is likely eyeing something closer to that number.
The Cowboys signed offensive tackle Tyron Smith to a lucrative extension over the summer, and Bryant was reportedly upset about it.
Bryant has had plenty of issues off the field since he came into the NFL, and we wrote about many of them here. He seemed to keep his nose clean last season and has done the same this year — at least as far as we know. That said, there has to be a reason the Cowboys are hesitant to commit top dollar to a top talent.
