Cowboys reportedly considering Nick Foles, quarterback trades
The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly assessing their options in light of the injury to backup quarterback Kellen Moore.
According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the Cowboys are considering free agent Nick Foles, as well as contemplating trades for veteran backups.
Josh McCown of the Browns and Mike Glennon of the Buccaneers are two of the names Dallas could look at on the trade market, with both players available.
Werder notes that Foles is represented by the same agent as coach Jason Garrett and offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, which could make a deal easier.
Foles was immediately mentioned as a possibility when Moore went down with a broken ankle on Thursday. It stands to reason that the Cowboys will be acting quickly to ensure that Tony Romo gets the backup he needs.
Hey, Dallas, if all else fails, we know one guy who would be happy to suit up for you.
