Dak Prescott hamstring injury could be season-ending?
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is still likely to land on injured reserve, but the hamstring injury that is set to send him there might be enough to end his season.
Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said Friday that the team plans to be cautious with Prescott’s injury, and admitted that could result in the quarterback missing the rest of the season. ESPN’s Todd Archer added that Prescott is likely to be sidelined for 6-8 weeks no matter what, and that there remains the possibility that the quarterback will require season-ending surgery.
Additionally multiple sources say Prescott is looking at 6-8 week recovery period. If he requires surgery, he would be out for the season. No decision has been made on surgery yet. https://t.co/jKG147ARyf

Prescott’s injury is thought to be at least a four-week proposition, and a move to injured reserve still appears inevitable. The question is whether this will prove more serious than that, and whether the Cowboys will even still be in contention if Prescott can return at any point this season.
Prescott has thrown for 1,978 yards, 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions thus far in 2024. The Cowboys are just 3-5, so there are real questions about whether it will even be worth bringing the quarterback back in 2024 if it is even possible.
