Coach Prime is taking note of the latest developments with the team that owns the No. 1 pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
The Tennessee Titans made the big decision on Tuesday to fire general manager Ran Carthon. The move comes after an ugly 3-14 season by the Titans (as well as a 6-11 season during Carthon’s first year in charge in 2023).
In a post to his X page, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders reacted to the firing. He quote-posted the news along with the caption, “WOW!” and an eyeballs emoji.

That is notable of course because Deion’s son Shedeur, the Colorado quarterback, is a candidate to go to the Titans with the top overall pick in April, especially given Tennessee’s underwhelming QB play from Will Levis. There has been some talk that Deion may not want his son to land on certain teams (in part due to Deion’s own inflammatory comments). But in more recent days, Deion has tried his best to do away with that narrative.
Granted, Shedeur might not end up going to the Titans anyway since fellow quarterback Cam Ward of Miami and fellow Colorado star Travis Hunter are also in the mix to go No. 1 overall. But what we do know for certain is that it will be a new voice making that call for Tennessee rather than Carthon.
