DeSean Jackson is expected to miss one to two weeks after injuring his shoulder during Thursday’s Washington Redskins practice. What wasn’t initially clear was how the injury occurred.
Reports began to circulate the Redskins wide receiver separated his shoulder running into a blocking sled. Perhaps predictably, this led to Jackson being the subject of jokes and ridicule, especially after his supremely confident comments earlier in the week that he didn’t think Darrelle Revis, Richard Sherman, or anyone could stop him.
On Friday, Jackson aimed to clear the air by posting the above video to his Instagram account showing his injury came from him landing on the shoulder.
“4 those Who stated False #Facts!! Saying I injured my shoulder by Running into A sled …. I’m Sorry Ur Info is False !! Now A days Ppl Talk Just to Be heard !! I’m not About Nothing else But setting A example & Leading By what’s Called The #Truth !! Get Ur #Facts Right this Video Clearly Show’s Me landing Right on My shoulder” Jackson wrote as a caption.
Head coach Jay Gruden echoed Jackson’s sentiments on the origin of the injury as well, which should bring the saga of DeSean Jackson’s separated shoulder to an end. On to the next Redskins drama …
