Dez Bryant really wanted DeMarco Murray to remain with the Dallas Cowboys, but he does not begrudge his former teammate for leaving.
Bryant sent the following tweet Thursday after seeing that Murray agreed to a deal with the division rival Eagles:
@DeMarcoMurray I wish you would have stayed but I understand your decision… Congrats bro you deserve it – #offenseMVPoftheyear

It definitely was a genuine and thoughtful sentiment from Bryant. Just two days ago he was trying to convince Murray to stay in Dallas by warning him against going to Philly. But after seeing the 2014 rushing leader sign with the Eagles, Dez clearly understood why Murray had to go for business reasons. After all, Bryant knows better than anyone about dealing with the Cowboys when they don’t want to pay up.
