Report: Doug Baldwin may be done playing due to injuries
The Seattle Seahawks used a second-round pick to draft a wide receiver on Friday night, likely because they know something about one of their key players.
Doug Baldwin may not be able to continue playing in the NFL, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
At the age of 30, Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin might be unable to play again due to the cumulative effect of multiple injuries, per sources. There is a real chance that Baldwin, one of the Seahawks’ best and most popular players, has played his last NFL down, a source said Friday.

Baldwin had sports hernia surgery over the offseason and also had knee and shoulder surgeries.
Typically extremely durable, the 30-year-old missed three games last season after playing in all 16 for five seasons in a row. His knee was problematic throughout the year, and now he’s added more surgeries to his list.
Baldwin had 50 catches for 618 yards and five touchdowns last season. The team’s choice to draft DK Metcalf makes more sense in this context.
