D’Qwell Jackson arrested for assaulting pizza delivery driver over parking space
Indianpolis Colts linebacker D’Qwell Jackson on Tuesday was arrested and charged with simple assault in Washington, D.C.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman told Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star that officers responded to a call at about 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and determined that Jackson had assaulted another man. According to Jennifer Donelan of ABC 7 in D.C., Jackson punched a pizza delivery driver in the head twice during an argument over a parking space.
Jackson, who was released from jail and will appear in court at a later date, is the third Colts linebacker to get in trouble with the law in the past month. Josh McNary was charged with rape last month and Andrew Jackson was arrested for driving while under the influence. In addition, running back Trent Richardson was suspended by the team for a violation of team rules.
The 31-year-old Jackson seemed adamant about keeping his name out of the headlines with regard to his involvement in this major scandal, but there’s nothing he can do now. Punching a delivery guy over a parking spot will get you dragged through the mud every time.
