It has been widely reported that Nick Foles will start at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in their first game of the season on Thursday, and the team has finally decided to make it official.
Doug Pederson said last week that he was not going to publicly announce whether Foles or Carson Wentz will start against the Atlanta Falcons, but the Eagles have ended any speculation.

While Wentz has not suffered any setbacks and is said to be doing fantastic with his rehab, the Eagles are not going to rush things with the future of their franchise. From the way it sounds, Thursday night’s game will not be the only one Wentz misses.
