Report: Eagles had 2-word response to AJ Brown trade inquiries

AJ Brown has hinted at frustration with the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense this season, but it does not sound like the team has any intention of trading its star wide receiver.

The Eagles are “extremely unlikely” to trade Brown before the Nov. 4 deadline, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported on Sunday.

Teams already inquired about trading for Brown during the offseason, according to Rapoport and Garafolo. Those teams were told there is “no chance” the Eagles are trading their Pro Bowl wideout.

After the Eagles beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-25 in Week 4, Brown raised some questions with his cryptic social media activity. He shared a post on social media that featured a Bible verse about how to handle frustration. Brown also made some interesting comments about Philadelphia’s offense following Week 2.

The Eagles are 4-0 and have taken a run-heavy approach this season. Brown has just 14 catches for 151 yards and 1 touchdown on the season. He has been open about wanting to have more involvement in the offense, and some people feel that is a bad look considering his team has not lost a game.

Even with Philadelphia undefeated, Brown supposedly is not the only key player who has been frustrated with the offense.

The Eagles rode Saquon Barkley all the way to a Super Bowl win last season. They have been just as run-heavy this year, and it has worked for them thus far. At some point, they will likely need to start getting the ball to Brown more. It seems like the receiver can’t wait for that day to come.
