The Kansas City Chiefs are arguably the best team in the AFC and have already shown what they can do on offense, but their defense is on the verge of getting a major boost down the stretch.
Andy Reid confirmed on Wednesday that All-Pro safety Eric Berry has returned to practice, though the Chiefs coach said he will be eased back in.
Andy Reid says there's no pressure with Eric Berry, it's all on how he feels.
Reid says he has "no idea" if Berry plays on Sunday. "I think he's as curious as we are to see how he feels."

Reid: It's great. It's good to see him getting back healthy. One thing about EB, this is killing him to watch. He loves to play. It tears him up not be out there. At the same time, we have to do what's smart. That when those juices get going that everything's OK in the longhaul"

Berry has not played this season because of a heel issue he has been dealing with. There have been numerous times where it seemed like he was close to returning to the field, and it’s a great sign that he was finally able to this week.
The Chiefs rank dead last in the NFL against the pass, allowing nearly 300 yards per game through the air. They’re not much better against the run, where they rank 20th in the league in total yards allowed per game. A healthy Berry would be huge late in the season and into the playoffs.
