Not much has gone right for the San Francisco 49ers this season and certainly not injury luck.
According to a report by Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area on Monday, an MRI confirmed a torn biceps for Niners safety Eric Reid, who will be forced to undergo season-ending surgery.

Reid himself appeared to confirm the news on his Twitter account.

The 24-year-old ex-Pro Bowler had recorded 62 combined tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble in 10 games in 2016. Though Reid’s season is likely to be remembered more for this symbolic gesture than anything he did on the gridiron, it’s yet another rotten break in a year full of them for a 1-9 San Francisco team.
