Full details of Russell Wilson trade revealed
Russell Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos from the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday, and his new team gave up about as much as you would expect to acquire the star quarterback.
The Broncos are sending a massive haul to Seattle for Wilson. Denver gets Russell Wilson and a fourth-round draft pick while giving up two first-round picks, two-second round picks and a fifth-round pick. The Seahawks are also getting Drew Lock and two starting-caliber players in tight end Noah Fant and defensive lineman Shelby Harris.

There was no way the Seahawks would have traded Wilson without getting multiple first-round picks in return. Assuming Wilson wanted out, they actually did quite well in the deal.
Wilson had a full no-trade clause in his contract. We know at least one NFC team made a strong offer to Seattle, but Wilson clearly wanted to go to the Broncos. Even with Wilson stating his preference, the Seahawks still managed to get maximum value in return for the 33-year-old.
