Hearing impaired girl writes awesome letter to Derrick Coleman
A Duracell commercial featuring Seattle Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman went viral last week, and for good reason. The commercial is about Coleman’s ability to overcome being deaf and make it to the NFL. He is believed to be the first legally deaf offensive football player in NFL history. And he has clearly inspired people.
A young hearing impaired girl who has a twin sister that is also hearing impaired recently wrote Coleman an adorable letter. The father of the girls shared it on Twitter and thanked Coleman.
@Seahawks @DC2forlife you've inspired my little girls in a way I never could. THANK YOU! #Seahawks #SuperBowlXLVIII pic.twitter.com/lhpJfCPOSD

That, in itself, makes the Duracell commercial worthwhile. I’m sure there are plenty of young children and adults out there who draw inspiration from Coleman. They’d just have trouble expressing it in a cuter way.
