The AFC may be about to run into a very motivated Joe Burrow in 2026.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase was asked if he could back up claims that Burrow has been a bit meaner and more motivated during camp so far. Chase admitted there is something Burrow coming off “more aggressive,” and that he likes it.
“I like it when he’s f—ing pissed,” Chase said. “I like the fire that he has. He doesn’t always bring it out. He maybe did it once or twice since camp started, but I like it.”

Burrow does seem to be motivated to a particularly high degree this preseason. He is eyeing franchise records and clearly has his sights set on a Super Bowl. There does seem to be a greater sense of urgency for the entire team considering Burrow is fully healthy and firmly within his prime.
Burrow had to battle through another injury last season, but the Bengals went 5-3 when he was able to start. If he stays healthy, there is no reason he and the Bengals cannot make a deep playoff run.
