A homicide investigation has been launched after a body was found at the New Jersey home of New York Giants defensive back Janoris Jenkins.
According to a report from TMZ, a worker at the Jenkins house discovered a dead body in the basement. Law enforcement went to the scene in Bergen County to investigate.
Jenkins reportedly was in Florida and not on the scene when the body was found.
“The investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be provided when it is available and appropriate for release,” the county prosecutor’s office has said.
Jenkins, 29, is entering his third season with the Giants after beginning his career with the Rams.
