Jared Allen unhappy after being ruled out for NFC championship
Jared Allen has been ruled out of the NFC championship game, and he’s not thrilled about it.
Allen, who has been nursing a broken bone in his foot, was ruled out of Carolina’s game against Arizona on Friday. He told reporters that he was, not surprisingly, unhappy with the decision.
Jared Allen on not playing: "Not happy, plain and simple. I'm ready to rock. Coach's decision, gotta live with it."

Asked if he thinks he could be effective vs. Cardinals, Allen said, "100 percent."

Allen says he respects Ron Rivera and respects his decision. Doesn't agree with it. Says he hopes he'll be active if CAR makes Super Bowl.

Rivera told Allen Friday am he wouldn't play. Tried to argue his case. Rivera's concern all week was being down a pass-rusher if reinjury.

Allen has been listed as doubtful all week. This really doesn’t come as a surprise, much as Allen tried to fight it. At least he handled it better than this player did when he found out he was inactive for a playoff game.
