Report: Jerry Jones ‘loved what he saw’ from Jared Goff in private workout
They may stand no chance of getting him, but the Dallas Cowboys reportedly worked out California quarterback Jared Goff on Saturday, and owner Jerry Jones was apparently infatuated.
Jones and coach Jason Garrett worked the projected top two pick out in California on Saturday morning, a move that proves that the Cowboys are serious about at least considering quarterback options.
Confirming that Cowboys worked out Jared Goff in Berkeley this morning. Jerry Jones+Jason Garrett there. Jones reportedly loved what he saw.

Shannon Sharpe, mind you, had a stark reminder of Jones’s talent evaluation skills:
Didn't he love Manziel also? Never mind. @SI_PeterKing

The Cowboys pick fourth, and there’s virtually no chance that Goff makes it past No. 2. Jerry is just doing his due diligence. Hard to say if a ringing endorsement from Jerry Jones is a good or bad thing, though.
