Joe Flacco ruled out for Week 9 with neck injury
The Denver Broncos’ offensive problems look to be getting worse.
Coach Vic Fangio announced Monday that quarterback Joe Flacco has a neck injury, and will not play in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns. Brandon Allen will get the start in his place.

Flacco’s Broncos are 2-6, and he’s thrown only six touchdowns to five interceptions. He’s clearly frustrated, judging by his postgame comments after Sunday’s loss to Indianapolis. This is just likely to be more frustrating for him.
Allen, a September waiver claim, has spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams. He has never appeared in an NFL game.
