Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs gave fans a scare on Christmas Day when he shared a video from the hospital and revealed that he underwent a surgical procedure, but apparently the issue is not one that had anything to do with football.
Jacobs had a procedure to clean up a skin infection in his left leg, the Raiders announced on Thursday.
Statement from @Raiders:
"Josh Jacobs woke up with discomfort in his leg on Wednesday and he was evaluated and treated for a superficial skin infection.”

Jacobs has missed two of the last three games with a shoulder injury, but he is expected to play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. All indications have been that the procedure he had Wednesday will not impact his status for the game.
The Raiders still technically have a chance to sneak into the playoffs if they beat the Broncos and have a series of other things fall their way. Jacobs is the team’s leading rusher with 1,150 rushing yards on the season.
