Julian Edelman puts his own spin on the ‘Beat LA’ mantra
There have been countless meetings in championship games between teams from Boston and Los Angeles throughout modern sports history, and fans in New England will once again be chanting “Beat LA!” when the Patriots take on the Rams in the Super Bowl. Just days before the big game, Julian Edelman decided decided to get in on the fun.
On Thursday, Edelman shared an image on social media that placed an interesting spin on the famous In-N-Out Burger logo.

For those of you who have never had the full In-N-Out experience, “animal style” refers to a type of not-so-secret order where extra toppings and sauces are added to the famous burgers and fries.
The Patriots already heard “Beat LA” chants before and during their game against the Los Angeles Chargers earlier in the playoffs, and fans were pleased with the end result. The same was true when the Red Sox defeated the Dodgers in the World Series. The “Beat LA” mantra started years ago when the Celtics and Lakers were a huge rivalry and squared off numerous times in the NBA Finals.
With the Rams already having been accused of providing the Patriots with bulletin board material leading up to Sunday, Jared Goff may want to make his players aware of Edelman’s tweet.
