Former Oklahoma State star wide receiver Justin Blackmon had his NFL career derailed by substance abuse issues, and it appears he is still struggling more than a decade later.
Blackmon was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with public intoxication, according to online records from the Payne County Sheriff’s Office in Payne County, Okla. The 35-year-old was no longer listed on the website’s inmate database as of Sunday evening, however.
The reported mugshot that Blackmon posed for went viral, as the ex-wideout looks barely recognizable.

Blackmon was a star at Oklahoma State from 2008-2011. He had 233 catches, 3,304 yards and 38 touchdowns between the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Blackmon was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2010.
The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Blackmon with the fifth overall pick in 2012. He was suspended multiple times for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy and lasted just two seasons in the NFL, finishing with 93 career catches for 1,280 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Blackmon has also been arrested multiple times for alcohol- and drug-related offenses.
Blackmon was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame last year.
