Lawrence Timmons could lose guaranteed money after suspension
The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday that they have suspended linebacker Lawrence Timmons indefinitely.
Timmons went AWOL on Sunday and did not play in the team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The team even reportedly filed a missing persons report about the linebacker. It turns out that Timmons was dealing with a personal issue, but his lack of professionalism still clearly bothered the Dolphins, who have now suspended him.
Reporters are now saying the Dolphins will likely try to recoup some of the guaranteed money they gave Timmons.

After Timmons went missing on Saturday, his time playing for Adam Gase was in doubt. The suspension likely voids his $4.5M in '18 guarantees

Timmons joined the Dolphins this offseason on a two-year, $12 million contract, with $11 million guaranteed. He had played the previous 10 seasons with the Steelers before leaving in free agency.
